Latest News From Game Payment Technology

12th June 2020

It has been a busy few months here at GPT, with the much-anticipated go-live of the Game Payment app in March. Unfortunately, the pilot had to be put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic. Believe us when we say that we are missing the pub just as much as you are!

However, we did manage to get some players using the system before the shutdown, which was a useful experience and provided us with some valuable feedback.

The team at GPT are working hard to get everything in great shape for when the pubs can open again. We have been enhancing the product to provide:

  • An age verification system for cash-only machines
  • The ability to offer incentives to players to use Game Payment

We hope to re-start roll-out in June. If you are interested in taking part, please contact sales@gamepayment.technology.

In May, GPT received its first order from Reflex Gaming, the largest UK owned gaming machine manufacturer in the UK. Reflex Gaming have announced that all of its new machines will be enabled for Game Payment. This will mean operators have the option of allowing cashless payments on all their machines, ensuring greater safety for staff and customers.

Quentin Stott, CEO of Reflex Gaming, commented; “We are delighted to have the ability to provide cashless payments on our gaming machines. We’re also very excited about the age verification and social responsibility capabilities that Game Payment offers. The accuracy of this technology is far higher than any human can achieve. Providing greater safety and security to our end users is of paramount importance to us.”

From all of us at Game Payment Technology: thank you for your continued support, stay safe, and we look forward to working with you in the near future.
